Following the guidance of Governor Herbert’s Utah Leads Together Plan, we are currently in a moderate risk (“Orange”) phase of operations. We will be enacting the following measures:
Fitness Center (currently located at the Senior Friendship Center). As of June 1, we are open to any passholder or paying customer Monday – Friday 5 AM – 9 PM, Saturday 7 AM – 12 PM. Space is still limited; reserve your spot at reservefitness.orem.org. We have moved all aerobics classes back inside the Senior Center (click here for class schedule; note that some classes may be discontinued during the “Yellow” phase due to room size, high risk populations, or class participation).
Childcare & Senior Friendship Center. All childcare & Senior Center programs are currently closed to protect the most vulnerable members of our population.
Refund Policy. If a program is canceled due to COVID-19, a full refund is given. Furthermore, anyone requesting a refund (prior to the start of a program) due to COVID-19-related concerns will also receive a full refund.
The Orem Fitness Center is currently closed for an upgrade! Expect a bigger and better facility to meet your needs. The Fitness Center pool is now open and the entire facility is scheduled to open in Feb. 2021.
Don’t miss out during the closure. A temporary recreation facility is open in the Orem Senior Friendship Center. Click here for more information. You can also see the current class schedule by clicking here.

WORD ON THE STREET ABOUT OREM REC
Great people. Play basketball everyday I can. Much love all around. Lots of respect.
I come here for the swimming mostly. I do train for triathlons in the winter because they have the indoor track along with bikes on the side right next to it so you can work on your transitions. The pool is great for lap swimming and the kids pool has a play area along with a decent slide. Also, it doesn’t hurt that this is one of the cheapest rec centers around.
It’s a great place to exercise and bring the whole family. Plus they have daycare.
