Cross Country is for boys and girls who are 7 years old (or who will turn 7 in 2019). Practices will originate from the pavilion just south of the Orem Fitness Center on Mondays & Thursdays from 5:30 – 6:30 PM, starting August 19. Meets will replace Monday practices starting in September. Complete practice and meet schedule will be available at practice, on-line, or call 229-7455. Brief Parent Mtg on 8/19 at 5:35, prior to practice.

2019 Cross Country Schedule:

Aug 19            Practice from 5:30 ? 6:30 PM   Brief PARENT MEETING AT 5:35 PM. Meet at the pavilion just south of the Orem Fitness Center. (Parents please plan to attend so you will know what to expect from this program.)

Aug 22            Practice from 5:30 ? 6:30 PM

Aug 26            Practice from 5:30 ? 6:30 PM

Sep 2               Labor Day – No Practice

Sep 5               Practice from 5:30 ? 6:30 PM

Sep 9               1k Intra-squad meet held in Orem at Orem Community Park (580 W 165 S, Orem) at 5:30 PM

Sep 12             Practice from 5:30 ? 6:30 PM

Sep 16             2k Meet held at Orem Community Park (580 W 165 S, Orem). Check in will be at 5:00 PM and race starts at 5:30 PM.

Sep 19             Practice from 5:30 ? 6:30 PM

Sep 23             3k Meet held at the Spanish Fork Sports Complex (295 W. Volunteer Dr. [950 West], Spanish Fork). Check in will be at 5:00 PM and race starts at 5:30 PM.

Sep 26             Practice from 5:30 ? 6:30 PM

Sep 30             2k Meet held at Salem Elem School (140 W. 100 S., Salem. Check in will be at 5:00 PM and race starts at 5:30 PM.

Oct 3               Practice from 5:30 ? 6:30 PM

Oct 7               4k Meet held in Saratoga Springs at Talons Cove Golf Course (2220 S Talons Cove Dr, Saratoga Springs). Check in will be at 4:30 PM and race starts at 5 PM

Oct 10             Practice from 5:30 ? 6:30 PM

Oct 14             3k Regional Invitational at Provo Kiwanis Park (1019 N 1100 E, Provo). Check in will be at 4:30 PM and race starts at 5:00 PM (*notice the change in time)

All practices will originate from the Community Park Northeast Pavilion (just south of the Orem Fitness Center).  Please drop off promptly at 5:30 PM and pick your child up ON TIME at 6:30 PM.

Volunteers are needed for the meet on September 16. Please let Debbie (dboone@orem.org) know if you can help with that meet.

Please make sure that your child is prepared for the weather. Cross Country practices and meets are held in all kinds of weather. Please send jackets, warm clothes, sun block, etc.

Transportation is NOT provided. Each participant is responsible to get to meets and practices on their own.

TRACK

Track is for boys and girls ages 7-15.  Participants should wear good running shoes. Volunteers are needed for this program to assist with meets. For questions, or more information, call (801) 229-7455. Practices will be held from 5:30 – 6:30 PM mostly on Tuesday & Thursday (with a few exceptions including scheduled meets or facility conflicts) beginning April 16, at Mountain View High School track. After school ends in May, practice will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 AM. The season ends approximately the first week of June.

All practice and meets (unless otherwise specified) will be at Mountain View High School Track (665 W Center St., Orem).  Please drop off and pick your child up ON TIME. When track practice ends, the coaches will be leaving so there will be nobody there with your child.

Volunteers are needed for the track meets. Please plan to assist at least one of the meets.
