Barre: Set to fun and energetic music, each class is designed to give you a long, lean dancer-like physique. The Barre workout incorporates elements of Ballet, Pilates, and Strength Training. Barre exercises rely mainly upon your own body weight for resistance, and the moves challenge your core stability and balance. Mini Pilates ball, small toning weights, and more, will be provided. This class is inspired by the dynamic barre exercises from the disciplines of ballet and dance. Prior experience in Pilates and dance are not needed!

Cardio Circuit Training: Circuit training is considered one of the most efficient modes of accomplishing a complete workout in the shortest period of time. This training involves repeating exercises and muscle group work, through a series of stations. Each station is set up to include muscle isolation exercises, a cardiovascular activity or stretching.

P90X: This class will transform your body in 90 days. You will become toned and ripped. P90X is a sweat-inducing and muscle pumping workout, that combines resistance, body weight training, cardio, plyometrics, ab work, martial arts and yoga.

Pilates: Designed for those with limited range of motion and weak core muscles. This class will help to strengthen, tone and sculpt the entire body. A special combination of controlled movements is guaranteed to shape and sculpt long, lean muscles.

Sculpting: Sculpting class offers a progressive series of exercises using tubes, free weights, medicine balls, and exercise balls to tone and strengthen muscles. These classes are designed for all level students.

SilverSneakers® MSROM: This program is the nation’s leading exercise program for older adults. SilverSneakers® MSROM (Muscle Strength Range of Motion) improves overall fitness and encourages social interaction. SilverSneakers® MSROM is a low-impact, total body conditioning class in which students use hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers® ball. All tools come in various weights and strength, so each participant works at his or her own rate. MSROM class works out all the major and minor muscle groups. It addresses strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, agility, speed and power. This class includes a warm-up and rhythmic range of movement before adding strength training. A cool down, final stretch and relaxation segment is included at the close of class.

SilverSneakers® Cardio Circuit: Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular endurance and muscular power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand held weights elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.

Spinning is the original and world’s leading stationary indoor cycling program. This 40-minute athletic training ride with purpose and direction is led by a certified Spinning instructor. The specially designed bike is equipped so that each participant can control his or her own resistance, allowing them to enjoy each class in a way that is comfortable for them. The Orem Fitness Center offers “Johnny G. Spinning” certified cycling classes. There are over two dozen stationary cycles for the “Spinning” classes. Cycling tones and strengthens muscles and burns calories while increasing cardiovascular endurance. This class will allow participants to exercise at a comfortable exertion level.

Step: Regular sessions will provide both cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Incorporating both upper and lower body movements together will improve your coordination and agility, and the constant push up onto the step will increase leg strength. This cardiovascular workout will make your heart and lungs work more efficiently.

Tai Chi: The ancient art of Tai Chi uses gentle flowing movements to reduce the stress of today’s busy lifestyles and improve health. It is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching using a series of postures or movements in a slow, graceful manner. Each posture flows into the next without pausing. Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability, can practice Tai chi. It doesn’t take physical prowess. Rather, Tai Chi emphasizes technique over strength.

U-Jam: Combining the energy and grittiness of urban dance with fitness, U-Jam Fitness has taken the industry to a new level by creating student-minded instructors, while building unity through community, both in and out of the Group X room. We bring the party to wherever we are invited. Expect funky, adrenaline-based urban beats from around the world with easy-to-follow choreography, so that everyone, everywhere has the potential to get their Jam on. 

Yoga: A complete mind and body workout that combines dynamic breathing and strong flowing movement to create a high-heat, and high-energy workout. Students learn a sequence of postures that build strength, unwind tight joints and muscles, develop concentration and reduce stress.

Zumba®: “Our fastest growing excitement in fitness” fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got Zumba®!

Zumba Gold®: Zumba Gold targets the largest growing segment of the population: “Baby Boomers”. It takes the Zumba formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active mature participant, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. If you’ve ever wanted to learn
the basic steps to Latin dances like Salsa, Meringue, Cumbia, this class teaches easy-to-follow moves. Active mature adults who want camaraderie, excitement and fitness as a regular part of their weekly schedule, Zumba Gold is the perfect fit for them. It’s a dance-fitness class that feels friendly, and most of all, fun.

Zumba Strong®: A high-intensity, high impact moves interval class that is synced to specific music. STRONG is non-dance, high intensity, more athletic conditioning-style workout.

ZUMBA KIDS®: (starts June 1) Kids 7-11 years old get the chance to be active and jam out to their favorite music. Classes feature kid-friendly routines based on original Zumba® choreography. We break down the steps, add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class structure. Helps develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives by making fitness fun.

When are the Zumba Gold classes?
