City Park Information

Park pavilions are available for rental May 1 through September 30 of each calendar year. Orem residents may begin making reservations February 1. Non-Orem residents may begin making reservations March 1. Register online by choosing the Park Reservations option (left of this article). You can also stop by the Orem Fitness Center, 580 West 165 South, Orem to complete the reservation process. Payment is required for all reservations. Due to weekend and overtime staffing limitations, the City of Orem will not be accepting Sunday park pavilion reservations.  The trash will be emptied and the bathrooms cleaned on Saturday, but will not be attended to again until Monday.  Since these services will not be provided on Sunday, no reservations will be accepted.  Please feel free to utilize the parks and pavilions on a first come first serve basis. 

Time blocks available for all park pavilions are Mon - Sat (No Sunday reservations, first come first serve) 9 am to 2 pm and/or 4 pm to 9 pm. Reservation fees are as follows:

  • most City of Orem park pavilions - $50(weekdays) $75(weekends) per time block
  • small pavilions at SCERA Park - $30(weekdays) $45(weekends) per time block
  • Mt. Timpanogos Bowery at Mt. Timpanogos Park - $150(weekdays) $175(weekends) per time block
  • six small pavilions at Mt. Timpanogos Park - $75(weekdays) $100(weekends) per time block.
  • Cascade Hosting Center at Mt. Timpanogos Park - $400 reservation fee plus $200 deposit per day. Call Gena at 801-229-7110 to make reservations for the Cascade Hosting Center.

Reservations for the Mt. Timpanogos Park Cascade Hosting Center require rental fees, security deposit and a written agreement. Contact Gena Bertelsen, 801-229-7110, for Cascade Hosting Center rental details.

Extended reservations or special requests to bring in additional amusement attractions to any Orem park must be approved in advance by the Director of Recreation and will be charged an additional fee up to $500, require a written agreement as well as provide liability insurance coverage naming the City as an additional insured on the policy.  Bands, concerts, DJ's, sound systems and inflatables including bounce houses, slides, etc. are not allowed in City of Orem parks.

REFUNDS: Advance notice is required for all reservations and cancellations. Refunds will be given according to the following schedule: 60+ days notice before event $5 non-refundable fee; 31 to 59 days notice before event 75% of fees; 8 to 30 days notice before event 50% of fees; and 0-7 days notice before event no refund.

PICNIC PACKS & VOLLEYBALL SETS AVAILABLE

The Orem Fitness Center has picnic packs available to rent. The packs include a football, soccer ball, volleyball, two softballs, a softball bat, a red utility ball, a frisbee, and a set of horseshoes, all contained in an easy-to-carry duffel bag. There is a $15 rental fee required for each pack and a $25 refundable deposit is required.

The Orem Fitness Center also rents portable volleyball sets for $25.00 per day plus an additional $25.00 refundable deposit. The sets include adjustable poles, a net, one volleyball and boundary ropes in a convenient carrying case. For more information, call 801-229-7154.
