URPA Outstanding Volunteer - Matt Church - The award is given to an individual or organization whose voluntary contributions of time and effort over a period of years have improved the quality and quantity of leisure opportunities through recreation, parks and conservation programs and projects in neighborhoods, communities, the state of Utah, or the nation. Criteria included outstanding volunteer service to the field of recreation. Matt has been a faithful volunteer in the Orem Recreation Department for many years. He continues to coach youth teams regardless of family participation. He is a great example of an involved parent and community member dedicated to the benifits and goals of City Recreation.

URPA Outstanding Department Class III - Orem Recreation Department This award is given to departments serving over 50,000 in population to encourage and recognize excellence in the promotion and provision of facilities and/or programs in the field of parks and recreation. Criteria included: (1) Demonstrates the collective effort of the department including programs, staff, resources, etc. (2) Models excellence and serves as an exemplary department and standard of excellence

URPA Outstanding Program - Utah County Lacrosse Program This program was the innovation of Mark Resch. This award is given to recognize and encourage special efforts made by parks and recreation agencies or organizations who have provided outstanding recreation benefits to a community. Criteria may included: (1) Exceptional innovation in program design, (2) Significant expansion or modification of existing program(s), (3) Significant cost savings, (4) New or unique services to special populations, (5) Response to critical need in the community
